THINK BEFORE YOU PUSH

Tips & Strategy

Small positional choices decide every Tic-Tac-Go board.
01

Read the whole board

Before moving, identify walls, narrow lanes, and pieces that could become permanently trapped.

02

Move dangerous X's early

Break up pairs of X's before they become an unavoidable line. A safe square is often more valuable than a fast route.

03

Your player is an O

You do not always need to push three O pieces together. Your character can complete the winning row or column.

04

Keep an escape route

Avoid pushing pieces against walls unless that position is part of the final solution. Leave room to approach from another side.

05

Work backward from three

Choose the line you want to complete, then ask which two spaces must remain open for the final moves.

06

Undo and compare

Undo has no penalty. Test an idea, note what changed, and rewind before trying a more efficient sequence.
